About the Station
Why Sure Word Radio
A quiet stream of the old truths, kept playing for whoever needs to hear.
Sure Word Radio exists for one purpose: to keep the word of God sounding out, without interruption, into homes, cars, workplaces, and hospital rooms. In a noisy world, we wanted a place on the dial that stays fixed on what does not change.
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” — Psalm 119:105
What you'll hear
The great hymns of the faith, faithful preaching, and the Holy Bible read plainly aloud throughout the day. You press play, and God's word is there.
Whether you found this station on purpose or stumbled upon it late at night, you are welcome here. Our prayer is that it would be, for you, a light that shineth in a dark place.
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17
Why We Broadcast
Sure Word Radio grew out of a love for preaching, the gospel, and the old-fashioned sound of Christian radio.
Founders and twin brothers Matthew and Shawn Parker admire the old-time preachers of years gone by and developed a love for their plain, earnest preaching of the word of God. Radio also had a special place in their family. Their grandfather and great-grandfather both loved radio, and the thought of one day using the airwaves to preach the gospel became a dream of their own.
More than simply having a radio station, however, the desire has always been to preach Jesus Christ and make the word of God heard. Whether through preaching, witnessing, writing, or broadcasting, the goal is the same: to point people to the Lord Jesus Christ and proclaim the gospel as far as possible.
By the grace of God, Matthew and Shawn were blessed to meet their pastor, mentor, and friend Jayson Hill. Pastor Hill has a deep love for the Lord Jesus Christ and a strong desire to preach the gospel and faithfully teach the word of God. That shared burden for souls and for Bible preaching gave way to what Sure Word Radio is today.
Sure Word Radio is one more way to keep the message of Jesus Christ going out. Our prayer is that somewhere, at any hour of the day or night, someone might tune in and hear the word of God, hear the gospel preached, and be pointed to Jesus Christ.
